These proposed skyscrapers do not reflect Oakville’s small-town charm or identity.
They are far too large in scale and simply do not belong here.
Even the recent rows of smaller condos have already affected the livability of our community. We do not want to be surrounded by dense stacks of buildings or forced into crowded neighbourhoods with so many people in such a limited area.
We value the space, character, and quality of life that Oakville offers. We should not be subjected to a provincially driven population surge that disregards the wishes of local residents. If I wanted to live next to clusters of condos—small or large—I would have chosen a neighbourhood built for that.
This push for high-rise development feels forced, unnatural, and entirely unwelcome in our town.
We may have been overlooked when smaller condos were approved, but we are speaking loudly, clearly, and in growing numbers now.
No to skyscrapers in Oakville.
