Please add my voice to those against the fusion of the Lakehead Region Conservation Authority with those in completely different watersheds, different geologies, different forests, different social-economic factors... The list goes on. The distance and the overwhelming population imbalance between south and north puts those in the north at a severe disadvantage and I believe any logical and reasonable person would acknowledge this.
As well, as a crew member on Great Lakes cruise ships, I can assure you that the differences between Lakes Superior and Huron are much greater than the similarities.
Respectfully, yet honestly, I shake my head at this proposal and give a heavy sigh for the decision-makers who have thought that this is a good idea.
