It is exciting to see a province-wide cycling network being developed; this is a long time coming.
-The status for some segments on the map is not correct; for example segment 1527 in Ottawa is existing between Hunt Club and Brookfield Roads; the same applies for segment 1309. However, the majority of segment 2709 does not have cycling facilities despite being marked as Existing. -Cycling facilities should be continuous along Highway 17 between Sudbury and Sturgeon Falls. Through cyclists will not want to take the significant detour proposed in this section. -Cycling facilities should also be considered on provincial highways where there are neighbouring towns or cities in close proximity, but the provincial highway provides the only connection between them. For example, highway 7 between Norwood and Madoc.
