The conservation authorities…

The conservation authorities are an important municipal level institution, with unique character and local knowledge. This amalgamation would strip away much of that uniqueness and power in the name of making them more efficient, even though their response rate is already fairly fast. This is clearly a power grab from the conservative government to remove local autonomy and give more to big businesses.
