I do not think that we should be looking to merge th conservation areas. It takes the voice away from the municipalities on their individual conservations, it is expensive when we already have a provincial government wasting our tax dollars to line their pockets and the pockets of their associates. I don’t trust our province or the current leadership to govern our green spaces and the municipalities and locals should keep their say. It is already preposterous that the provincial government can override municipalities around developments, don’t convolute the conservation area under a banner of “it’s simpler” - it’s bull. There is no plan that makes this make sense. If you have one, show how you can merge these, inexpensively, what governance and oversights will be in place, how it benefits the municipalities while still allowing locals to have a MEANINGFUL say in what is happening in their community.
