This bill threatens a lot of the natural environment, and the resources that the people of Ontario require to lead a healthy life. It threatens drinking water, wetlands, forests and habitats that provide natural capital service (i.e. flood mitigation, natural water filtration, oxygen, parks and recreation). It also threatens farmland and natural forests, two already limited land-use types. Most importantly, it undermines sustainable and environmental stewardship policy that has been in place to keep Ontario a beautiful and healthy province.
