Firstly, I applaud this initiative!
Since the Windsor/Essex and Chatham/Kent counties do not have routes that transect their regions, connecting the shoreline routes as indicated in the current route plan, allow me to suggest the following:
a) In Windsor/Essex, establish a route along Talbot Road (Hwy 34) connecting Windsor with Essex and Leamington, with a spur to Kingsville on Hwy 29. Talbot Road is a historical route that follows a ridgeline across the county and was first established as a travel route by First Nations.
b) In Chatham/Kent, establish a route along Hwy 40 and Hwy 10 that links Wallaceburg, Chatham and Erie Beach/Erieau. Additionally, a route on Hwy 15 linking Wallaceburg, Dresden with Rondeau would create a circle route that connects significant areas of ecological and historical importance in the region, from First Nations and early Loyalist settlements to battle sites in the war of 1812 to the Carolinian Forest remnant in Rondeau.
