Golf courses take unnecessary water from the environment and take up large areas of land that can be otherwise used for sports that promote healthy movement or conservation efforts.

Well water comes from underground aquifers that take thousands of years to replenish. With the effects of Climate Change and the impacts that AI data centers have had on water resources recently, I would highly advise against this large amount of daily water consumption that is not easily renewed.

Considering the impacts that golf courses have on the environment, the limited health benefits we receive from golf courses, and the importance of protecting groundwater resources, I would not recommend that this request from the Camelot Golf & Country Club for this particular permit to take water be approved.
