This bill includes many provisions that seem to be steps backwards as regard to environmental protections. Many municipalities have shown considerable foresight in providing measures to mitigate against the effects of climate change while allowing for controlled development that provides for those most in need of housing. But the province chooses to undo all of this work in what can only be described as a heavy handed approach. And to what end? Developers must be laughing all the way to the bank!
