It is very bad to repeal the Toxics Reduction Act (and the associated regulations). Ontario is a major generator of toxic materials and it is vitally important to reign in this toxic stew. The excuse of avoiding duplication with the federal government is just an excuse. Ontario has the responsibility for controlling the industries under its jurisdiction. Ontario also has the responsibility for protecting its citizens and its children and future children from the scourge of environmental degradation.
