A safe place for a multi-generational community to cycle free of pollution.
Almonte (Mississippi Mills) desperately needs a non-motorized bicycle path. Most streets and roads are 'hilly' and too narrow to accommodate cyclists. It is very unsafe. The county is planning to open a recreational trail. There is already a trail for motorized vehicles (snowmobiles, multi terrain vehicles (MTVs). Unfortunately the county is leaning towards another motorized trail. A non-motorized bike path would mean a multi-generational community hopping safely on the trail, taking in the breeze (free of pollution) in a natural setting with the opportunity to socialize with their fellow citizens/neighbours. At the same time taking care of their physical and mental health... and burn calories while enjoying themselves. It is a win-win situation.
