As a citizen of Port Hope…

As a citizen of Port Hope Ontario since 1971, a community that is undergoing a vibrant and successful regeneration thanks to a number of designated structures and the downtown heritage conservation district designation and having been involved in the relocation and restoration of many of these buildings I am vehemently opposed to the threat that Bill 66 is to our future. Therefore I don’t want Bill 66 to remove the protection of the Planning Act and Provincial Policy Statements for significant built heritage resources and significant cultural landscapes anywhere in the province.
