I am writing to express my strong opposition to Schedule 5 of Bill 66. For myself as well as for my 4 children (and their children's children...)
The position of this government that repealing the TRA eliminates unnecessary duplication of laws is FALSE
The TRA Does Not Duplicate CEPA; It Supplements It.
This bill, if passed, will strip hard fought-for environmental protections, to the benefit of developers. allows major projects to bypass municipal bylaws and approvals and scrutinies, pushing through controversial and potentially environmentally damaging projects.
Do not take a way in a moment it protection it took a generation to put in place!
Repealing the TRA endangers Ontario's potable water supply and puts the lives and wellbeing of Ontario's residents at risk
I whole hardly DO NOT support this bill.
