Accurate data on GHG emissions is essential to Ontario's future. We to ensure that we understand the way fuels are produced, distributed and used so that measures to reduce GHG fuel use can be effective.
Carbon pollution and the resulting warming of the climate represent the greatest threat Ontario has ever faced. We are being exposed to more and more dangerous weather events today and this will only get worse as time progresses. Our children and grandchildren will face mass migration and wars as areas in the south become unable to provide enough food for their population.
Ontario has choices, we can enhance our clean grid and move away from fossil fuels or we can stick our heads in the sand and not even gather the data that shows how bad we are.
Carbon accounting is critical to understanding where and how emissions are happening. Giving up this data is willful blindness.
