I totally support the extension of the Section 55 ESA regulation but strongly believe 2 years is inadequate and at least 5 years would be more appropriate. A multi-stakeholder panel must be established to provide critical oversight and to assist in arriving at a sensible solution for the ESA. The forest industry is the engine of the economy in our region and its loss would have a devastating effect on our economy. A full economic impact analysis must be included in any decision making process to provide an objective perspective on the human impacts.
