The Ontario government must work progressively to ensure that there is adequate planning for a nuclear disaster, including modelling based on a large-scale Fukushima-type disaster, heightened community awareness, evacuation proceedings, protection of our drinking water, indicators for land reclamation and evacuee return, as well as providing a transparent process. Please consider all of the above to ensure a quick, successful response to an ultimately highly dangerous situation. Due to the potential disasters involved with nuclear power, the lack of appropriate storage for the spent waste, and the already over-productive energy sector, please consider the eventual dismantling of Ontario's nuclear energy, to be replaced by much greener alternatives.
