I'm very concerned this is the Ford governments way of making it easier to build things in wetlands, watercourses, protected areas where things shouldn't be built. I'm having a very hard time with the wording, and want to ensure that STRONGER measures are taken to PROTECT our wetlands, watercourses, rivers, streams, floodplains as these mitigate climate change.
Anything that weakens the MNRF's or Conservation Authority's ability to oppose potential risks to sensitive lands and watersheds/areas is a bad thing. I'm very concerned that the wording would weaken existing policies.
