As an Ontario-based manufacturer of small (20 kW) wind turbine technology with a 20+ year track record, Wenvor Energy would like to communicate support for the proposed amendment to Ontario Regulation 541/05, including Virtual Net Metering (VNM).
VNM could allow for the utilization of good 'small wind' energy locations on farms and other rural locations where the owner does not have sufficient electrical energy demand to justify net metering. Allowing for VNM could make small wind energy projects economically viable, provide additional revenue opportunities for rural Ontario, and support jobs in Ontario.
