I truly believe this is a step in a good direction for the safety of all motorists. Not because a single motorcycle rider will be able to skip queue in traffic. But it will eliminate motorcycle riders being left in traffic adding to the accumulation of stagnant vehicles at times of rush hour and where nearly 28% of rear motor vehicle accidents occur. This will help remove all motorcycle riders from the risk of the equation and give riders an option. Secondly this will aid in the prevention of riders from suffering the potential of heat exhaustion in hot seasonal temperatures. I commend the Ontario government for acknowledging the need to make this change.
