This proposal will put local residents, including children, and pets at significant risk. It will create a public safety hazard by allowing the discharge of firearms closer to public spaces and increase human-bear conflicts. I am vehemently opposed to this proposal. This is a reckless and short-sighted attempt to put the interests of hunters above that of the public.
