I am happy to see the time has come for the review of Conservation Authorities directives.
I believe it is important to enlighten taxpayers as to the role and responsibilities of of the CA.
I am a rural resident living along the shore of Lake Erie and am dealing with erosion issues. I realize erosion is a natural occurring event of nature.
High lake levels do also contribute to the erosion of our farm land.
I have not seen any form of interest or action taken by our local CA to
assist landowners along the North shore of Lake Erie to preserve our land.
"Hazardous Land" is the designation our property has been given by our CA and municipality which in turn has had a negative impact on our property values and that of our neighbors.

If one of the mandates of the CA is to help and work with the public, please ensure this directive is clearly identified to all CA staff.

I do find it difficult to understand how property owners living in flood prone riverfront properties are being supported and assisted by numerous government agencies but property owners living along the lakeshore, dealing with erosion issues are not helped and are restricted and forbidden to take any corrective measures to protect their property.
