We need a balance that takes into account the environment, industry and workers. We should not restrict and industry that has little or not affect on a species of which there are thousands and thousands. I have worked in the forest industry for 40 years. It has supported my whole life and family.
I have not seen a Caribou in all the years that I have worked in the forest. The picture that was put into the paper (ChronicleJournal Feb 10 ) was not taken in any forest. It was taken in the far north. Do you see any trees , any grass, anything. A Caribou is a Caribou . Environmentalists have invented what they call the Woodland Caribou and say it is a species at risk. There are thousands and thousands of Caribou. They are not a species at risk. I agree with extending the exemptions for wild life protection.
I see in the paper that wolves made it out to an island in Lake Superior and were going after the Caribou. So the OMNR were moving the Caribou to an other Island.
HELLO. GET RID OF THE WOLVES. What a waste of my tax dollars moving the Caribou.
