I support the extension of the Section 55 Regulation
I support the need for more time to get this right
I support the appointment of an expert stakeholder panel to provide practical advice on real solutions to the government I would urge government to provide a five year extension vs the two year extension in order to provide adequate time to resolve this very complex regulatory issue I would also urge government to implement the proposal immediately following the 45 day review period to ensure it is in place well in advance of the expiry date of the Section 55 Regulation Many livelihoods depend on companies being able to harvest forest products. The lack of harvestable forest will be a very large impact on the income of many many Canadians causing huge unemployment issues and economic failure of many communities.
