My concerns are the following: How will the run-off from the proposed cement plant be treated and the toxic materials removed? What toxins will the public be dealing with? Will the people who drink water taken directly from the river be affected by toxins dumped into the river and if not why not? Are standard home filtration systems capable of treating water of the toxins? Will the company making the proposal, pay for the extra wear & tear on our highways and the various service roads being used? Will the smoke stack be capable of holding back all of the pollutants including particulate matter? Will the local agricultural producers be compensated for any future losses by the proposer of this cement plant? Is the company involved willing to, annually, provide bank letters of credit providing for compensation in a breach situation by the company of any of its undertakings or proposals, and for how much? How many people in the community will be haired if this proposal is accepted and can people with the requisite specialized skills be found in the immediate (30km) area or will they come from other ares and be commuters who add nothing to the local community? Leonard Samek I am against this plant.
