This is an absolutely horrible idea. There is a much greater risk to pets/hikers etc. with this proposed change. Hunters/trappers may be vocal, but they are a very small portion of the voting citizens. Not only would you be leaving yourself open to lawsuits, you’re pretty much guaranteeing you’ll be a one term party. Please don’t do this.
