Conservation Authorities are essential to Ontario; provision of education, major restoration, development and management of not only the watershed, which is crucial, but all natural resources so vital to our existence. The cost is far outweighed by the services provided. An additional mandatory program area of "conservation of natural resources" in Ontario needs to be included in order to ensure that continuation of core programs and services which the Conservation Authority (CA) has maintained for Ontarians' benefit.
Recreational lands enjoyed by Ontarians, conservation areas and natural habitats must be maintained by knowledgeable CA staff and resources must be available to continue management of these lands which we so greatly enjoy and appreciate, and are proud to have in Ontario.
