I am the owner of a provincial meat process plant location exactly 1 km away for the mentioned plant. We have been in business at the same location for 45 years. Water and pollution is a major concern to operate our business. What goes up must come down as they say. We operate under a well. Side effect on water beds NEED to be considered to a high level for food safety and agriculture. Safe water is the key of food safety and the survival of our business. We use water to process our meat and to clean our location. Food Safety is a priority not to kill people. Extra safety measures that would need to be taken because of pollution of the air and water bed may kill our business. We are only 1 km away, should a cement plant be built BESIDE a meat processing plant ?
