I ask that you keep the minimum distance for the placement of bait at 200 meters.
Any significant reduction in distance will create potentially dangerous and unnecessary conflict between bears and humans which can then be used in future to wrongly implicate bears as being a ‘pest’.
Such a human created problem/perception could then be strategically used by governments to further legislate for the uncalled for culling of innocent bears who never created the problem.
We need to protect bears and humans by maintaining the current 200 meter bait distance.
