The mandate of the Conservation Authority is to protect the loss of life and property.

It is apparent in discusses with the Conservation Authority, that they believe that they are there only to protect the loss of life and property moving forward and people in areas of possible flooding already are on their own.

I believe it is their responsibility to protect human life and property period. They should participant with private property owners to ensure all is done to save human life and property whether their homes exist today or not.

Safety should not be done by restriction only, but by participant with private property owners to achieve maximum results.

Focus of the Conservation Authority should be on high risk areas and not so much on low impact areas.

Participation with private property owners is a must in realizing goals.
