For your consideration. I oppose the changes proposed to reduce the set-back distances for bear baiting and hunting. Its unfortunate that hunters have to venture deep into wild places to hunt, but that is where the bears live, unless you bait them to approach populated areas. It works the way it is and trecking into the woods is part and parcel of hunting. You are tempting confrontation between nature buffs (campers, walkers, bird watchers, botanists...) and bears if you reduce set-back distances.
