I am very concerned with the endangered species and environment protection acts being amended in such a loose and frantic manner. I feel like this Bill (108) is being forced through without the proper research. I don’t see any relevant data the supports why the existing act needs to be changed. The proposed act seems full of loopholes...that I can’t help but believe we’re put there for a reason. We need to address housing issues yes, but not at the detriment to our protected green belts, Parks and biosphere. It is shameful. And clearly based on driving profit with no thought to the areas we need to protect and what Ontario residents hold dear. We need to be creating more green spaces not reducing them. It’s very concerning.
