I heartily disagree with the proposed change in hunting distance. How much easier do we need it to be for hunters to take a life? This is not hunting, which requires skill and endurance, rather it is simply shooting.
This change does not take into account the serious safety issue for all forest recreational users as high powered rifles are considered by their manufacturers to be dangerous within 4km or more. Can we not resume a perspective where thoughtful, common sense plays a part in decision-making?
