In regard to Part 5 Boundary…

In regard to Part 5 Boundary Considerations, we appreciate that that the boundaries of Wasaga Beach Provincial Park (WBPP) are under separate review. However, we also note that information from the park planning process will inform the boundary review.

We wish to stress that we are personally content with the WBPP boundary filed with the Surveyor General in December 1995, pertaining to Registered Plan 859 and therefore have no personal stake in our comments.

As a matter of public interest, we wish to highlight the reference in the planning document that there are known discrepancies within the boundaries of WBPP and our comments pertain to this issue.
To the best of our knowledge, the Ministry and the Administration of WBPP have been provided with copious documentation, dating all the way back to original land grants, demonstrating rightful private property ownership within the Park boundaries, particularly regarding the beach front. In addition, we are aware, as you must also be, of several relatively recent adjudications on the issue of waterfront property rights which have been decided in favour of private ownership.

We trust that these facts will be given due consideration in informing the concurrent review of and public consultations regarding Wasaga Beach Provincial Park boundaries.
