I feel, as a resident of Wasaga Beach, this area is unique & should be protected as much as possible, while still allowing the public to enjoy the Longest Fresh Water Beach in the World! However, I am extremely opposed to any overnight parking in any of the beach areas- many of the public are very irresponsible in taking care of their immediate environment so we do not need any more opportunities for such reckless behaviour; I do agree that we should limit access points for the beach areas and many of us have become quite used to the beach areas being numbered. It may add a feeling of the old time character if we do revert back to naming the beach areas, and having some sort of listing of what each area has to offer. If we designate it a natural environment, this will deprive the public of reasonable use & enjoyment of the area. We do need to provide protection for the natural environments & species, so that we can all enjoy the area but not destroy it. I look forward to whatever the future holds for this area, and hope that the Master Plan will protect & preserve our valuable natural resources while allowing us to fully and responsibly enjoying them.
