This proposal is a major undertaking, given that there are many stakeholders involved in the decision making, i.e., Canada, Ontario, and the U.S. Therefore the discussion, implementation and monitoring of health of the Great Lakes will be difficult, and i am concerned that water quality and aquatic life will suffer. I am concerned that the various groups may have difficulties communicating, and working together to make good, effective choices in a timely manner.

I am concerned about the future of our water quality and i am certain that people who make a living at the fishing trade must be so as well. Every decision made which affects the water (or soil), will have an impact, which is sometimes irreversible.

As an example, the more construction that is allowed, especially at edges of the Lakes, generally this will have some kind of detrimental affect. Whatever we do to the earth must be as unobtrusive as possible. We get all our food, water and air from the environment after all. Please be aware of this.
