I have worked in the Forest Industry since 1988 or for 30 years of my life. I have been lucky enough to support my family working in the Forest Industry & to have brought them up in NW years to allow for a comprehensive review by stakeholders and to ensure we get it right. I also believe that on the independent panel that will be put together should include union representation as they provide representation to the majority of the forest workers & mill workers in NW Ontario. We need to ensure that the implementation of the ESA does not introduce unintended consequences for communities, employees, First Nations and all other users of the Forest. This will or can happen without the extension of the Section 55 .
