I believe it is important to plan for communities with healthy people, healthy ecosystems, and climate resilience. This document guides growth and development in our communities, and it should balance economic, social, AND environmental factors. This review appears to favour the economy over our health and the health of our water and land. At a time of climate crisis, we need, more than ever, to plan and build our communities to be low emission, and to prepare for flooding, extreme weather events and heat, and wildfires. We also need, more than ever, to protect the health of our water and our ecosystems. Good land use planning is essential to avoid catastrophic impacts of climate change. Thank you.
