As a property owner within a future development area officially designated by our local municipality, we are very concerned that the Ministry of Environment is tampering with longstanding policy areas with serious negative impacts on Ontarians. Our local municipality has gone to great lengths to meet Places to Grow legislation and implement stringent planning policies - please leave local planning to our local leaders. We have made very significant investments, both in terms of time and money in our properties, and hold the Ontario government responsible for damaging policy changes.
Ontario is becoming increasingly non-competitive in the global marketplace with high labour costs (minimum wage), electricity costs and red tape in general. Please reconsider this potentially economically damaging initiative.
