 Current source water protection does not protect Moraines. It is designed to protect wellheads but not well fields which could be miles from the actual pump. We must protect Primary Recharge zones to protect water supplies  economic systems, biodiversity and fisheries.

   Yes - Expand the greenbelt father into Wellington County.

  Water is our most precious resource. Development and growth in the south end of Guelph and the Village of Rockwood is threatening both the Speed River and Eramosa River watersheds.

I am in full support of expanding the existing Greenbelt to Brant County, Waterloo, Guelph-Wellington, and Dufferin and Simcoe Counties. The Crombie Report recommended the inclusion previously. More than 1 million new residents are expected to live in these areas by 2041. Read more

It is extremely problematic that under BOTH the Greenbelt Plan and the Growth Plan existing, expanding or new infrastructure under the Environmental Assessment Act is permitted if it serves significant growth and economic development. Read more
