Regarding "Protecting water For Future Generations" the major concern is water quality and protecting the moraines, protecting river valley's and protecting wetlands. If Ontario seeks to welcome 3 to 4 more million people into the region then the function of our water systems will be critical and the Province will need to be diligent and strong in holding off human pressure where and when it is required. Also the interest of First Nations groups is an important piece to this process, for the First Nations have certain interests and/or rights that are often not reflected in provincial mapping for instance but that play out over the same lands. As an example the entire Greenbelt is covered by pre-Confederation treaty and therefore First Nations people have an interest in those lands but when treaties and/or the inherent interests are not identified this is a concerning omission.
