Aligning with the federal government pesticide categories is an acceptable move.
This is not congruent with the move to eliminate OPAC. No where in the mandate for OPAC is the word “classification “ mentioned.
If there is a desire to maintain the pesticide ban and the neo-nic regulations or other such pursuits, it will be imperative to have access to a broadbased panel/group of experts to assist in these initiatives. In-house capabilities will benefit beyond measure with the utilization of this group (whatever it might be named). OPAC has never been a financial drain relative to the benefits derived.
In all sincerity, DO NOT throw the baby out with the bathwater; there is too much scientific expertise at your finger tips to be wasted at minimal cost.
STOP, LOOK, and LISTEN before crossing this street!
