Bill 132 covers a lot of territory, and the broadness of the scope and various areas of concern are so many in number, it raises the questions as to whether this government is trying to deter people from submitting comments. The allotted comment time period is short, and this prevents proper participation as well.
Many specific areas are very complicated, and some are apparently meant to fall in line with federal regulations to eliminate duplication. While the latter is advisable, this should not come at the expense of the welfare of public health. Amendments can often open the door to deleting vital protections of the public and the environment. (Besides, does the federal gov't not have jurisdiction over the provincial mandates?}
Please be very aware that the decisions made are of benefit to people, and the land on which we depend entirely is affected positively, I see some unnecessary reversals being proposed that do not enhance our world. We are in a climate change era, and whatever is done to the environment will affect everyone.
