Pesticides have been found to interfere in many human health systems as well as disrupting natural environments and beneficial insect activity.
They are not benign or simple.
Corporations have been shown again and again to be primarily concerned about their share holders and bottom line. Human or environmental health is not a priority.
I live and work in a rural environment. I see first hand how hard people work. I have seen first hand the ravages of cancer and other health effects that may be caused by some of these chemicals, especially related to endocrine systems. The health of these hard working farmers and their children’s health needs to be the governments priority.
Some things can not be simplified or left unregulated or minimally regulated.
Please do not put the lives of the people I love at any more risk than necessary. Balance is needed. And it must weigh towards a healthy work and living environment for people who work with chemicals like pesticides.
They need to be stringently and conservatively regulated. Decisions must be based on science with the best interests of health in mind.
Please do not loosen the regulations. They are needed.
