I am very concerned about the many proposals within Bill 132 that seem designed to reduce environmental oversight and caution with the potential risk to human health.
The Section 3, Schedule 16 proposal is of particular concern to me. Municipal representatives should be able to dictate the depth level of aggregate extraction within their community, especially when the consequence is the risk of contamination to groundwater resources.
I strongly urge the government to reconsider and remove this section.
