I am fully in favour of your proposal to extend the moratorium on water taking in the province of Ontario for the purposes of retailing in plastic water bottles. This practice is outdated and offending, and Nestle and other corporations should have been stopped years ago from extracting huge amounts of groundwater for this purpose.
Thank you for proposing to extend the moratorium. It's definitely the right thing to do, and Nestle will have to concentrate on their other endeavours which should be enough to provide huge profits without taking water from small communities and threatening to cause a water shortage.
Single-use plastic bottles could soon be banned if our current Federal government keeps it's promise to ban some single-use plastics. Consumers will make the change to re-fillable containers if it is legislated, and many are already on-board. Gentle persuasion and suggestion is sometimes needed though, when some grocery stores are selling 24 bottles for roughly $2.00! That doesn't help anyone, and most especially our environment.
