As a lifelong resident of Ontario, I support the proposal to extend the moratorium on new or increasing permits to take groundwater to produce bottled water. In fact, I support the outright banning of this practice. Corporations such as Nestle should not be allowed to take our water (which is a human right) for virtually no cost and then sell it back to us. Our municipalities depend on the longevity and stability of our water supply. Our water is not for sale.
