I support the proposed changes to include the protection of species at risk under the authority of the CFSA and an approved FMP.
Species at risk receive protection through the implementation of FMP AOC prescriptions and Conditions on Regular Operations and through regular compliance monitoring.
The Industry (and the species at risk) will not benefit from the increased costs and potential confusion of regulatory duplication.
