I cannot understand why this government would choose this path of destruction of our forests when species are at risk.
Wildlife like boreal caribou, Blanding’s turtle and common nighthawk have never been protected to ensure their recovery under the Endangered Species Act and if the Ontario government has their way, they never will.
It will also harm the reputation of Ontario’s wood and paper products internationally and in the marketplace. This proposal must be stopped.
I was reading Mark Cullen's article yesterday, there was a paragraph about ENDANGERED SOIL. Erosion and deforestation have obliterated one-third of the world's topsoil, and if we keep on the same pace by 2050, the soil as we know it, will be gone. Mr. Cullen suggested a new slogan from environmentally minded young people might be "What we stand for, is what we stand on".
I implore your government to, PLEASE, reconsider this plan.

Thank you for your time.
