I am utterly opposed to the reintroduction of a permanent spring hunt in Ontario - which cruelly targets bears at their most vulnerable time of year. It is not an appropriate time of year to exercise this hunt, it unfairly allows hunters to target bears just out of hibernation when they are at their weakest and trying to support their young.
