As a Professional Forester working in the forest industry for the past 35 years I welcome and support the Forest Strategy.
I support the proposed changes to the Forest management plan preparation including removing the opportunity for individual environmental assessments. I support the removing the need for approvals on annual notification of scheduled operations and individual project plan approvals.
I also support more flexibility with bridging wood from one Forest Management Plan to the next.
Increasing the provincial roads funding to 75 million will help the entire forest industry across the province and help to secure the future for the industry as well as provide access to the forest for the citizens of Ontario,
